Insights & CRO Scan
Dalton scans your pages and competitors to generate data-driven experiment ideas before you start testing.
How It Works
When you add a page to Dalton, the platform:
- Analyzes your page - Content, structure, messaging, and conversion elements
- Scans competitors - Identifies similar brands and what they're doing differently
- Applies CRO best practices - Checks against proven optimization patterns
- Generates suggestions - Concrete experiment ideas you can implement immediately
ICE Scores
Each suggestion includes three AI-generated scores to help you prioritize:
| Score | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Impact | Potential effect on conversion rate |
| Confidence | How certain the AI is this will help |
| Ease | How simple it is to implement |
High impact + high confidence + high ease = start here.
What You'll See
Competitor Comparisons
Dalton identifies what competitors are doing that you're not:
- "Competitor X has trust badges on their hero section"
- "Similar brands show social proof above the fold"
- "Top performers in your space use benefit-focused headlines"
Best Practice Recommendations
Suggestions based on CRO patterns that work:
- Add urgency indicators near CTAs
- Move testimonials higher on the page
- Simplify form fields
- Strengthen value proposition in headlines
Ready-to-Implement Ideas
Each suggestion can be turned into an experiment with one click. The AI generates the actual variant—you just review and approve.
Using Insights Effectively
- Review the scan when you first add a page
- Prioritize by ICE score - Start with high-impact, high-confidence ideas
- Accept or customize - Use suggestions as-is or modify with prompts
- Launch and learn - Let the algorithm find what works
Refresh Insights
Come back to Insights periodically. As your page evolves, new optimization opportunities may appear.
Limitations
The CRO scan analyzes what's visible on your page. It can't:
- Access backend data or analytics
- Know your specific business constraints
- Understand context not visible on the page
Use your judgment alongside the AI suggestions. You know your business best.
