Frequently Asked Questions
Performance & Setup
Will it slow down my site?
No. Dalton loads in <50ms with zero performance impact on Core Web Vitals. No flickering, no layout shifts.
Is it easy to setup?
Yes. Add one script tag to your <head> in 5 minutes—just like Google Analytics. Works with any CMS or framework.
Which languages are supported?
Dalton works with any language. For multi-language sites, each language needs separate setup. Start with your highest-traffic language first.
Features & Capabilities
What can I test?
Anything text or layout: headlines, CTAs, button colors, form fields, pricing displays, social proof placement, section order, urgency messaging. Can't test images or videos yet—use URL Split Testing for complete redesigns.
Does Dalton understand my brand & tone-of-voice?
Yes. The AI scans your website to learn your brand voice, colors, and messaging. All variants match your existing style automatically. You can add custom guidelines for more control, and you approve everything before it goes live.
Does Dalton work with my platform?
Yes, Dalton works with any CMS or framework that outputs HTML and allows custom scripts. Common platforms in our client base: Shopify, Webflow, WordPress, Framer, React, Next.js, Vue, Angular, custom builds.
Will this work with Google Analytics?
Yes. Dalton integrates directly with GA4 to pull conversion events. For other tracking tools beyond GA4, contact us during setup to verify compatibility.
Can marketing run experiments without developers?
Yes. After the initial 5-minute script installation (one-time, requires developer), marketing teams create and launch experiments independently. No developer needed unless you want custom conversion tracking beyond standard events.
Traffic & Results
How much traffic do I need?
Minimum 5K monthly sessions per page you want to test. Below that, tests take 6-8 weeks instead of 2-4. Optimal is 10K+ sessions per page.
Can I test on multiple languages or countries?
Yes, but each language needs separate setup. Start with your highest-traffic market first, then expand.
What happens if an experiment performs poorly?
Multi-armed bandits automatically reduce traffic to underperforming variants. You can also manually stop any experiment instantly—changes revert immediately.
Integrations & Compatibility
Can I use Dalton with other tools (VWO, Optimizely)?
Not on the same pages. Running multiple experimentation tools simultaneously causes conflicts. You can migrate from VWO/Optimizely—we'll help transfer experiments. Other tools like Hotjar, heatmaps, and session recording work fine.
Is Dalton GDPR/CCPA compliant?
Yes. Dalton only collects anonymized behavioral data—no personal information. We respect your existing cookie consent setup. All data is stored securely and never shared.
